The kakadu plum has the world’s richest natural source of vitamin C. Studies show the concentration of vitamin C in kakadu plum to be as high as 3200-5000mg/100g  (compared with 50mg/100g for oranges).

The kakadu plum is grown in Northern Australia and is also called Gurumal, Gubinge, Billygoat Plum or Murunga.

Kakadu plum’s medicinal content are exceptional. It contains phytochemicals such as gallic and ellagic acids. Gallic acid has antibacterial, antiviral and antifungal activities and also shows anti-inflammatory, anti-tumour, anti-mutagenic and anti-bronchodilatory activities. Ellagic acid has anti-carcinogenic effects against a wide range of carcinogens in many human tissues.
Many Skincare products starting to use kakadu plum as an
ingredient in their formulas.
